Gluten Free S’mores Rice Krispie Treats are a fun twist on traditional rice krispie treats. Made with Chex Cereal, gluten-free graham cracker pieces, and big chunks of milk chocolate
Since Kellogg's Rice Krispie are not gluten free, I am using Chex Cereal. Its “criss-crossed” shape, like little pillows, makes rice krispie treats less dense and somewhat airy.
Ingredients needed include gluten free chex cereal, gluten free graham crackers, Mini Marshmallos, Butter, Chocolate and Vanilla
Over medium heat, in a very large pot, melt butter. Once melted, add the mini marshmallows, vanilla extract, and kosher salt. Stir until completely melted.
Once fully melted, remove the marshmallow mixture from the heat and add the gluten-free cereal and graham crackers. Using a flexible spatula, make sure to coat everything evenly.
Transfer the cereal mixture to the prepared 8×8 pan and with lightly greased hands or a rubber spatula press it into an even layer without packing them down.
Allow the gluten-free s’mores rice krispie treats to cool for at least one hour before cutting.
